April Report

Hey there! April was a productive month, where I learned new things and dug into some captivating reads.

I embarked on a Flutter learning journey, dedicating 30 minutes daily to grasp its concepts. I even created a dice roller app and got comfortable with Dart’s object-oriented nature. The nested widgets seemed confusing initially, but I found them quite manageable with practice.

Alongside my Flutter adventures, I also spent another 30 minutes daily exploring JavaScript. While I didn’t delve deep into new grammar due to my prior programming knowledge, I found some aspects quite intriguing, like anonymous function declaration.

In addition to all of that, I began exploring machine learning for an hour each week. Though I’m still in the early stages, I’ve learned about feature scaling, particularly the normalization and standardization methods. Producing standardization still feels like a challenge, but I’m making progress!

On the reading front, I’ve been reading two books I purchased last month. “You Look Like a Thing And I Love You” by Janelle Shane is a fascinating read that delves into the workings of AI behind the scenes. I’m particularly intrigued by how the discriminator in GAN models finds better images. Have a look at this horse image!

Another book that caught my attention is “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone” by Benjamin Stevenson. While I’ve only just started and delved into the introduction, I’m eagerly anticipating the reveal of why each family member has committed murder. If you do not like waiting for secrets to unravel, I might have to spoil you!

Overall, April was a month of learning and discovery for me, and I’m excited to continue this journey in the coming months. How about you? Did you have any exciting adventures or new learnings in April?
